TECHNOLOGY TEAM
The technology team is a global team of software engineers, business analysts, BI developers, quality assurance professionals and designers responsible for the development of CubeLogic’s suite of best-of-class risk management tools. The team is spread across existing development centres in Bangalore, Berlin, and London, with a new office being opened in Swansea in the second half of 2021.
The technology team is divided into cross-functional squads, each taking responsible for all aspects of the software related to a particular business domain. Each squad works closely with our Product Management, Sales and Professional Services teams, as well as with clients, to ensure we deliver the best possible solutions to our clients.
THE ROLE
We are looking for several experienced and motivated individuals to join our development team and take a leading role in developing our software.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
- Interpret technical and business requirements, Perform software architecture design.
- Actively participate in a delivery squad taking ownership of functionality in a particular business area.
- Write clean, scalable, maintainable code.
- Apply best modern coding standards, including SOLID principles, OWASP security standards and Design Patterns.
- Develop automated unit tests.
- Support other developers in skills development through knowledge sharing and code reviews.
- Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
- Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.
- Applications are invited from candidates seeking to be based in Swansea, Berlin or Bangalore. It is likely the roles will initially be remote.
- This is a permanent role. Flexible conditions including on-going remote work and part time hours can be negotiated for the right candidate.
THE PERSON
Core Attributes
- Expert level knowledge of at least two of:
- C# and the core .NET libraries.
- Python and the core numerical libraries (Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, etc)
- Angular 6+, Typescript and Bootstrap. Experience with DevExtreme an advantage.
- Microsoft SQL Server and packaged BI tools (SSAS and SSIS).
- Docker, Kubernetes and cloud computing technologies.
- Apache Kafka and data streaming.
- Track record of delivering great, robust software for a business environment.
- 5+ years’ experience building production quality software – either professionally or as part of a large-scale open source projects.
- Strong Bachelor’s or higher degree from a top university.
- Commitment to continuous skills improvement.
- Experience of building highly testable solutions and ensuring high levels of test coverage on all platforms.
- Experience using Git or similar solutions for version control.
- Excellent communication skills

Position Limit Product Manager
Berlin or Swansea office (full-time, permanent role)
We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to assume the Product Management role for our CubeWatchPL product in our Berlin or Swansea office (full-time, permanent role). CubeWatchPL is a comprehensive, position limit monitoring solution which allows Front Office, Compliance and Risk to monitor position limit utilisation across the organisation in real-time. You will be responsible for ensuring that current and future needs of our customers are properly addressed by our solution.

THE ROLE
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Regular market scanning to identify required changes to fulfill future customer needs
- Serve as the primary contact for our customers, partners and internal team members to discuss any requirements and maintaining our CubeWatchPL roadmap
- Working with our technical solution experts to develop the solution design for any changes including the ability to interrogate databases
- Provide requirement specifications for the developers and estimations for the implementation
- Work with our QA team members to align test case requirements, support the test case creation and validate the testing results
- Assure the overall quality of CubeWatchPL e.g. by refining our existing quality standards
- Support our Professional Services team and ensure the product is deployed as designed
- Project Management to steer and ensure the timely execution of the CubeWatchPL roadmap activities
- Provide support to the Pre-Sales/Sales teams
THE PERSON
- Experienced hands-on Senior BA / Product Manager
- 6 – 12 years’ experience
- Majority of experience in traded markets, energy and commodity trading (good to have but not essential)
- Understanding of the trade life cycle – position limits and/or transaction surveillance a big bonus
- Experience with complex calculation engines / algorithms
- Good SQL querying/scripting, and experience working with databases/comfort manipulating data in-system to identify and resolve issues etc.
- Exposure to C# and Angular-based applications (good to have but not essential)
- Ability to communicate with business users to understand their requirements and to be able to explain the product and business attributes
- Ability to engage with external stakeholders (such as exchanges and regulators) and proactively challenge technical assumptions/requirements
- Ability to work with development and testing teams including managing daily stand-up calls and providing progress updates to management
- Excellent writing skills with attention to detail – Good and responsive communicator (in English)
- Can do attitude – you are someone that takes ownership of challenges/problems and works consistently to deadlines
- Ability to work independently and to challenge stakeholders appropriately and in the right circumstances

Consultant

We are looking for motivated individuals to fulfil a client-facing hybrid technical/business analyst role. This role sits within our Professional Services team who are responsible for implementing and configuring RiskCubed software. You will be responsible for analysing and documenting client requirements and implement them in the software through configuration and data management using the skills outlined below. You may also review and prepare presentations, communication, and business meetings on the capabilities and functions of the CubeLogic application to the client.
Hybrid working mix between home and base office. May require travelling to client site depending on the project needs.

THE PERSON
- 2 years+ experience in a relevant industry (energy, commodities, financial services)
- Graduate degree, 2:1 classification or higher (preferably in Business, Economics, Computer Science or an analytical-based subject)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- An interest in data analysis and ability to understand systems / large data sets and learn quickly
- Willingness to develop knowledge about business operations in the energy, commodities and financial services sectors
- Native level English communications skills
- Personable with good communication skills as this is a client-facing role
- Ability to work autonomously if needed and prioritise tasks
- Entrepreneurial attitude with interest towards improving our processes and growing the business
Preference given to:
- Previous experience in one or more of Credit Risk, Market Risk, Trade Surveillance (compliance) and Position Limit Monitoring (Exchange, MiFID and CFTC)
- Previous industry experience in risk management systems
- Previous industry experience in energy, commodities and/or financial services
- Previous experience in business systems implementation (eg requirements and/or configuration and/or testing)
- Previous experience in a client-facing role in a professional services team at a software product vendor or business/technology consultancy, or an equivalent internal role working across business operations and technology
- Experience with software development, data management, databases, and data interfacing
