2021 IECA Canadian Education & In-Person Regional Events
We are delighted to be Diamond sponsors for the 2021 IECA Virtual Education & Regional In-Person Events presented by The Canadian Education Committee of the IECA. This transitional series of events will start off on June 8 and 9, 2021 with virtual education sessions and continue through the summer with outdoor in-person events.
About the events…
There is a fantastic line-up of keynote speakers and important sessions, including insights on the domestic and global economic outlook for Canada from Ross Prosakowski, Principal Economist with EDC; and a very timely discussion with Dennis Frehlich, Vice-President, Grid Reliability, AESO on how the Alberta electricity grid is equipped to handle devastating events like the one that occurred in Texas. There are also sessions on the standard financial statement adjustments that should be made as part of a credit analysis, the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (with a focus on Canada), and a credit panel consisting of some of our local credit peers discussing the recent decline in counterparty credit quality.
The IECA is also offering deeply discounted pricing for the summer Canadian events if you register along with the virtual event registration. These events include…
- A golf tournament on August 17th at Inglewood Golf Club
- A large networking event scheduled at National 8th on September 14th
If you can’t make it to the in-person events, there’s still networking you can take advantage of! Included in the virtual education package is a ticket to a virtual escape room team experience! The first 34 people to select this option during registeration will be able to participate.
